November 2012 20:23 Forum: XAMPP for Windows Topic: Problem with port 80 Replies: 1 Views: 5381 So in summary I am stuck, because I can not start or uninistall apache and the port 80 is being ocuppied by apache. I triyed to unistall XAMPP by deleting the whole folder, but it was not possible because the process httpd.exe is running and it is not visible on the windows task manager. Using the command prompt I found that port 80 is listening some application called httpd.exe, which belongs to apache, so I am confused. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down Only one usage of each socket address
